Welcome to another update for Magma. We’re always working behind the scenes to refine our product, add new tools, and improve the experience for you and your teams. Here’s what we brought you in our December and January updates:
We’re making some improvements to your Artdesk and Artspace view. Before, you only had the Table view in your folders, but now, you can switch it to a Grid view instead. This is the same view that you’re used to from the Live Now and Recent sections of your dashboard.
Layer contents were previously limited only to the dimensions of the canvas. So, when you moved something over past the edge of the canvas, it would automatically crop the layer. We’ve changed that.
Now layers can move beyond the canvas limits without cropping. This can lead to some big canvases though so you’ll also now have the option to trim your layers. Find the button for it in your Edit menu.
For Artspace owners with a paid plan for their teams, we’ve also added the option for Autobuy to ensure new members to the space also get Blaze.
There have been a few improvements to the user list inside your Artspaces. The main difference that you’ll notice is the ability to search for users. There is now a search bar in the user list on your side panel and one on the Members page of your Artspace settings.
For now this only enables you to easily check if a user is online, or to adjust their role or permissions within the Artspace. It’s a stepping stone toward some other ideas that we’re wanting to implement later.
We’ve improved the performance of the Gaussian blur filter for GPU users. You can now expect a smoother, faster experience when adding some blur to your layers. We’ve also fixed up some things that might have caused iPads to crash while adjusting the blur slider.
That’s all for this one. We have more exciting features in the works for the year ahead though and we’ll be keeping updating you as they roll out. Don’t hesitate to share your thoughts, ideas and suggestions with us!
