Mobility eCard Patch
While some computers use a BIOS that handles Magma expansion products correctly, some computers use a BIOS that does not handle the use of multiple bridges properly. Some BIOS incorrectly enumerate the PCI Bus which can cause unpredictable results during BIOS boot. In some cases, the BIOS will not completely load if the Magma ExpressCard is installed in the slot. If the BIOS does not load completely, your system may freeze before loading the operating system. The Mobility eCard Patch was designed to provide an automated method of helping you install your ExpressCard after the BIOS loads and before the operating system starts to load. This is accomplished by insert a simple “pause” statement into your computer’s hidden “boot.ini” file. This will force your laptop to stop and allow you to insert the Magma ExpressCard. When it is inserted, you simply press <Enter> to resume the boot-up process.
